In 2014, BELL launched summer learning programs in partnership with ReadySetSoar and the Trotwood-Madison and Mad River school districts in Montgomery County.  ReadySetSoar is a public-private partnership in the Dayton region that seeks to improve education outcomes for students by focusing on Kindergarten readiness, third grade reading achievement, and the transition from middle to high school.

After its first year, the partnership was named a "Bright Spot" by the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading.  In 2015, its impact was highlighted by the Dayton Daily News.  The partnership continues to serve children and families from 2014 - 2016.
