BELL (Building Educated Leaders for Life) is a non-profit driven by the belief that too many children are falling behind due to a lack of access to high-quality learning beyond regular school time. Our mission is to transform the academic achievements, self- confidence, and life trajectories of children living in under-resourced communities.

Refined and replicated over 25 years, BELL is a comprehensive evidence-based solution used by partners to design new learning experiences or strengthen existing summer and/or afterschool programs. BELL is tailored for highest-need students and is backed by third-party evaluations including multiple randomized control trials.

The results have been extraordinary. Year after year, data show participating BELL students, known as scholars, gain 2 to 3 months of literacy and math skills To learn more about how BELL partners with schools and nonprofits, visit our Partnerships page. Parents can visit our Parent FAQ section to learn more about opportunities for your child.

BELL delivers its direct-service programs in the following states. Click on the state to learn more.

Through its licensing model, BELL partners with organizations such as the YMCA of the USA and its network of associations and trains them to deliver high-quality learning opportunities for scholars.  Learn more about BELL's partnership models.
